Campervan & Motorhome Rental Comparison Tool
The easiest way to get an idea of prices is to use a price comparison website such as Motorhome Republic. This will allow you to see all types of vehicles and book your vehicle at the best price. This is much quicker than going to each rental company’s website to compare prices yourself – and you can often get better rates using discounts offered by comparison sites.
Choosing a rental company
There are a number of rental agencies in Sydney. The most popular ones are the same companies you find in any other Australian city. Overall, they offer the same type of service at fairly similar rates.
Main rental agencies
- Britz
- Apollo Campervans
- Traveller’s Autobarn (you can get a 5% discount by clicking here)
- Jucy Rentals
- Let’s Go Motorhomes
- Cruisin’ Motorhomes
Note: These companies generally offer several brands (divided by range). For example, the brand Cheapa Campa belongs to Apollo, and Mighty to Britz, so don’t be surprised if you see different logos on the vehicle.
Where are rental companies located in Sydney?
Motorhome rental companies usually aren’t based in the city center, but rather in the suburbs and in the vicinity of the airport, where most car rental agencies are located too. However, as they aren’t accessible on foot from the airport, you will need to take a taxi or use a shuttle.

How much does it cost to hire a Motorhome in Sydney
Motorhome rental prices in Sydney vary. One day you might pay $80/day and another time $200 for the same vehicle. The average is usually around $150. Other influencing factors also play a role in determining the price of your rental:
- Type of model (size/number of seats)
- Age: a newer model will be more expensive than an older one
- Season: Motorhomes are better insulated than vans if you are looking to rent in winter. Also – check if the heating in the vehicle works!
- Duration of the rental
- How far in advance you are booking
- If there is a kitchen inside or at the back of the vehicle
- Budget: A motorhome requires a larger budget than a van, for example.
- How comfortable do you want to be? Might it be more comfortable sleeping in a motorhome than in a van?

Visiting Sydney and surrounding areas
Sydney
We recommend visiting the Sydney city center on foot or using public transport because it can be difficult to drive around the busy city. Parking fees are also extremely high, plus it is often difficult to find a free parking spot.
