Tips and info for driving in Australia
Australia’s roads are all well maintained. Driving in Australia is very pleasant. However, here are some tips for a smooth ride:
- Luckily for UK drivers, driving is on the left hand side of the road, just like home.
- Overtaking is done from the right.
- Speed limits are strict and controlled. In general 110 km/h on main or rural roads and 50 km/h in built up areas. If in doubt, refer to the road signs.
- For those over 21 years old, the authorised blood alcohol limit is 0.5 g/l.
