Alice Springs is a city in the middle of the desert. After a long road trip through the outback, you will be glad to be back in civilization: there are supermarkets, showers, toilets and washing machines! The city itself is small but charming. There is a small shopping mall, Todd Street, with many galleries offering Aboriginal art. From Anzac Hill, you have a fabulous view of the surrounding area and while exploring the Olive Pink Botanic Garden, you can discover a lot. Alice Springs is pretty relaxed.
